API
Read-only JSON API for the dictionary. All responses are UTF-8 JSON. Base URL: https://dictionary.axomiyagpt.com. Calls from any origin are allowed (CORS), and no key is needed.
Errors
400a parameter is invalid (for example, a word id that is not a positive integer).404the word does not exist.500the service could not read the dictionary. The body is{ "error": "..." }.
GET /api/search
Search headwords, romanisations and English glosses.
| Parameter | Meaning |
|---|---|
q | Search text. Assamese text matches the start of a headword. Latin text matches the start of a romanisation or the start of a word in an English gloss. |
prefix | Assamese first letter or letters, e.g. ক. Matches the start of a headword. |
pos | Part of speech: noun, adjective or verb. |
limit | Results per page, 1 to 50. Default 20. |
offset | Number of results to skip. Default 0. |

Autocomplete: headwords that start with the typed text. Works from one character.
